Military Missions in Action (MMIA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to assisting veterans with disabilities to achieve independent living.  To qualify for assistance in the program, an applicant must meet all of the following minimum conditions:

  • Veteran with disability
  • Honorable discharge from the military
  • Needs assistance with home repairs/modifications
  • Owner and occupant of the home needing repairs/modifications
  • Financially unable to complete repairs/modifications

Please complete both forms and return them with the following documents to MMIA at the address below:

  • DD-214(military discharge papers) or copy of VA identification card (front and back)
  • IRS Form 1040
  • Deed, lein, or insurance certificate of ownership of the home

Once the completed forms are submitted, if you qualify, there will be a site visit after which all documentation will be reviewed and verified. Then your application will be forwarded to our Board of Directors for further review and consideration.  We reserve the right to request additional information if needed.  Please be mindful that there can be a waiting period for services. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at (919) 552-1603.
