We still need volunteers for the following upcoming projects:
Date Pending: Removal of deteriorated deck and ramp and install a new deck and ramp for a Vietnam Veteran in Holly Springs, NC.
Date Pending: Install a step in/shower tub, new toilet, and ramp or safety rails for a Korean War Veteran who has problems with his knees and uses a walker in Durham, NC.
Date Pending: Install a walk-in bathtub for an Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran who is 100% disabled with left arm amputated and leg injuries, in Eden, NC.
Date Pending: Repair floor, windows, paint inside and out, and yard maintenance of a Vietnam Veteran whose mobile home is in severe disrepair in Coats, NC.
Date Pending: Doorways widened of a bedroom and bathroom for a wounded soldier of Operation Iraqi Freedom, who is only mobile in a wheelchair in Trinity, NC.
Date Pending: Phase III of the Jackson Springs project (wounded soldier with post traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and both legs injured with titanium replacements of the bones under the skin.), which is to get potable water throughout the home. Phase IV is to remodel the master bathroom. For those of you that do not know, Phase I was fixing the heat and Phase II was rewiring the entire house, which both have been completed.
Date Pending: Phase II of the Fayetteville project. Phase I was just done for an active duty soldier’s, 5-year-old son who has cerebral palsy, which was to install a wheelchair ramp. Phase II is to extend the back deck of the home to the ramp and front porch so that the son will be able to be outside more often.
