Оld sash windows in Victorian house
Hey everyone, I’m considering refurbishing the old sash windows in my Victorian house, but I have so many questions. Some of them are stuck, and others have noticeable drafts. I love the classic look, and I don’t want to replace them with modern windows, but I also want better insulation. Has anyone here gone through a full sash window refurbishment before? How much work does it really take, and is it worth the investment compared to full replacement?

The wrong paint or varnish can make even a great repair stand out, so it’s worth paying attention to that as well. If done right, refurbished sash windows should blend in perfectly with the rest of the house!
