VOLUNTEER
MMIA would be overwhelmed without the help of our outstanding volunteers. Our volunteers participate in everything we do and we have a group of core volunteers who manage some of our programs.
We have many opportunities for Volunteers. This is a list of things that you can volunteer for:

-
Office Staffing: Can you commit to a few hours per week or once or twice a month? We need volunteers to staff our office during regular business hours in two shifts: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
-
Warehouse Work: Help with pallet deliveries, unboxing, restocking shelves, organizing, and cleaning up.
-
Furniture Pick-up/Delivery: Assist our Homes for Healing Program Manager with delivering or picking up furniture items.
-
Events: Help set up and staff booths for public outreach, distribute materials, and answer questions about MMIA.
-
Homeless Veteran Stand Downs: Set up a booth and help distribute HVSD kits to Veterans. (Must be able to travel within the state with possible overnight commitments.)
-
Specific Experience: Utilize your talents for various jobs or special projects, such as holiday projects, warehouse organization, group work parties, furnishing kit assembly, clothing sorting, washing and folding, office administration, thank-you note writing, grant writing, marketing kit assembly of promotional materials, social media marketing, golf tournaments, videography, photography, and more.
-
Construction Building/Project Experience: Use your construction/trade skills to help build wheelchair ramps, modify homes, or completely remodel a home. Each project requires both skilled and unskilled volunteers. (For instance, skilled trade or building experience or general assistance such as getting workers lunch and helping with light physical activities.) • Regardless of whether you have lots of time on your hands or can only spare a few hours per month, there is a volunteer opportunity for you at MMIA. You can make a definite impact on the lives of others and the success of our mission!
